Sofia’s Mayor Wins Elections on Anti-corruption Ticket

Yesterday’s New York Times said that Borisov’s opposition party Citizens for the European Development of Bulgaria (GERB), scored “a larger-than-expected election victory” at 42 percent of the vote, while the incumbent Socialist party had 18 percent, much less than had been anticipated
